Goodbye Sonny

Post by Grumpaz »

Sixteen years ago a bull headed, stubborn, and lazy Appaloosa became a cherished member of our pet family. Sonny taught Bill and my grand daughter the ropes of riding. He gave us many good times and lots of laughter.

Sonny passed to the Rainbow Bridge between 4 and 8 am this morning. He was 26 years old. He was buried here in the pasture he loved.
Every morning is the dawn of a new error.

Sorry to hear that Grumpaz, the loss of any fur family member is never easy, cherish the memories and the fact that he taught two kids to respect and love horses...

Just think....

He's up there in the big paddock now, kicking up his heels in a clover filled field with sunshine on his back and a warm breeze blowing through his mane...

By gum, that's a ripe old age. Well Done! I hope you've all got some pictures,

and best of all memories.

I'm really sorry, Grumpaz. :-1 This stuff is always so hard. But it has to be because we love them so much. Blessings to Sonny.

Thank you all so much for your kind words. Some people might just think what's the big deal...he was just a horse. But you couldn't look into his big brown eyes and not know that he was thinking up some kind of mischief to get you into. We've had a lot of good rides and a lot of good laughs with that horse. He will be sorely missed.
