Ola from Texas

Post by Txsan »

Hello! I'm from Central Texas, originally from Missouri. I usually surf the web in the middle of night after not being able to sleep and not wanting to wake my husband, that's how I found this site. Not sure how everything works here so I'm just kinda looking around. Typical Virgo, I like to stay on the perimeter until I feel comfortable with the environment I'm in :)

Welcome to FG. You can safely disregard anything YZGI says.

Thanks for the all the welcomes! I don't get a chance to get on here much (obviously). I guess the way I found this site is surfing the net on a sleepless night (which I have a lot of). Not sure yet what it's all about but everyone sure is friendly. I'm not a Texan by birth but I am a Texan by choice! I'm originally from Missouri. Small town, related to everyone. Moved here when I was 26 with my 2 yoa daughter. Married 9 months later to my current husband and had a daughter a year and a half later! So now I'm the mother of three (his, mine & ours)! I never was one to waste time!

Haven't been on here for awhile. Guess I'm afraid of saying something that puts me out there. Is that weird? I think this past year has been the best and the worst I've had in a really long time. I've been married almost 23 yrs and I'd honestly say there's been more bad than good in this marriage. According to the general public, my husband is a real sweetheart. Unfortunately, they don't see him at home. He isn't the nicest person to be around, especially if your me. I don't seem to have the right to have any type of opinion unless of course it agrees with his. I'm not supposed to say anything derogatory about my step-daughter or her worthless husband. I am supposed to hear the tyrades about anything my daughter does or the inequities of the world against him. After reading some of the journals, I feel like I'm the only one in this situation. I don't talk to anyone about it because I'm a prideful person I guess. I give the illusion of being very strong when I know I'm unable to support myself without him.

Sorry, I'm sure no one cared to hear all that. Just feels a little bit better to get a small part of it off my chest.:-1

Hi Txsan, Welcome! Sorry i missed you the first time around!:D
The poolhall's a great equalizer. In the poolhall, nobody cares how old you are, how young you are, what color your skin is or how much money you've got in your pocket... It's about how you move. I remember this kid once who could move around a pool table like nobody had ever seen. Hour after hour, rack after rack, his shots just went in. The cue was part of his arm and the balls had eyes. And the thing that made him so good was... He thought he could never miss. I know, 'cause that kid was me.

Don't feel bad about talking to us about bad things - we'll listen and some of us will give you advice (that you don't have to take if you don't want to).

Feel free to chime in whenever you want here, you'll be made welcome, I'm relatively new too and the welcome and friendship I've received has been amazing.

I hope you stick around and have a bit of fun with us and hopefully you'll find a little bit of happiness here.

Just remember - life is short, we all have to try to get to the end of it and look back with no regrets.:)
