I've missed the good folks at Forum Garden

Post by Clint »

Wow! Time sure flies. I can’t believe it’s been so long since I posted anything here. I think about the wonderful people here often although not as often as it could have been if the past year hadn’t been so challenging.

I started a new job last November. It’s pretty exciting but it wasn’t long after I was hired that my new boss got fired. The boss that replaced him didn’t think my position was necessary so set out to do away with it. That hasn’t happened yet and it’s looking less likely but it’s been a rough ride.

Last April when I was preparing to do my father’s internment I got a phone call telling me my favorite aunt had died. She was 95 and she had requested that I officiate for her memorial service. I began making preparations and wham! The next morning we got a call that our son-in-law had suddenly died.

Oh! Yes, and we bought a new home and we’ve been getting moved in and settled¦ sort of.

Some of you will remember that I lost sight in one of my eyes. I had surgery on the eye and I have some sight in it and it has stabilized. I don’t take any more meds for my eyes. Thanks be to God.

This is only a portion of the things that have kept me away from Forum Garden. I hope you can understand, it’s nothing personal, I was just consumed by the rest of my life.

I hope to drop by more often now. Winter is just around the corner and I’d rather talk to the great people here than watch the tube.

Clint, I'm new, too, but I already know I'd miss these people like CRAZY if I had to stop visiting the Garden! Sounds as if you've had some good times and some bad this past year. Friendships can make the worst times bearable, can't they? See you!

It's good to see you still keeping things alive around here.

Hey, if I wasn't still standing I'd be worried you would find out and call me a whimp.:wah:

Since you were here you will be glad to see that there are some new members, some of which you will enjoy reading (or not :D ) in the Religious threads. That part of the Forum has been as busy as ever

Hello friend.

Skeeter has some tough challenges in her life right now. I'm as proud as I can be of her for the way she keeps on fighting.

I'll check out the Religious threads. There are always interesting points of view there.

:wah: Thank you for pulling so hard and for the kind words.

"actually be working"... hmmmm, does getting a job mean I'm supposed to work? Seems like that would take all the fun out of it.:-3

Actually, things are getting better now. The way I see it though, the tough times are times of blessing just like the "good" times. :yh_beatup

Well Spot, I'm not as good at slapping down as I used to think I was. Life is pretty short. Sorry I left you with that kind of a memory of me.
