The building I work in made the news! Fire in it - happened about 11:30 a.m. yesterday. The plus side is that no one was hurt and I sent our employees home early to start their weekend!

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
I'd rather have thirty minutes of wonderful than a lifetime of nothing special.

Welders :-5
All of the worlds problems can be pinpointed down to welders. Wars, tsunami's, global warming and terrorists.......all to do with welders.

Thanks everyone! Yes, we are lucky - originally when I called the building mgmt. office they told me (and several others come to find out) that it was a "false alarm." Soon after I hung up with them, smoke comes pouring out of the air vents.......scary, scary. But everyone's home and everyone's safe.
As a side note, yesterday we also had a small plane which had to land on a MAJOR interstate here: http://www.local6.com/news/10071341/detail.html - and THAT'S the way I usually get home.........not yesterday though.....
Boy, what a day! I'm glad it's over!
