I received my grade from my first project in Illustrator. I got a B+. I was so nervous when the teacher handed me the grade sheet, that I would not look at the paper. So she said "look at it" so I did. And I said that I was thinking that had maybe gotten a lower grade as I'd found the template off of the Internet. She said it was okay as long as I found it within the given time frame.

Then I got a B on my last Anthro exam and a B on the first.:sneaky:

Okay, I just got a D on my last essay question. And then had another test Monday, but I think I bombed that one. So the essay question for this last exam is......explain the primitive and derived traits of the australopithecus afarensis, and be specific. So far the only primitive trait I can sort out is that they were bipedal.

The weird thing is, that I have not been convinced that we are ancestors of any of these apelike creatures who lived millions of years ago. And I cannot even say that in class, from a religious point of view. But I cannot see that we are the ancestors of paranthropus or australopithecus. And the course is almost over. The professor has not convinced me that we are. And nothing of what I have read yet, has convinced me of it either. But I cannot say that on any of my papers, or I will fail the course. She notified us of this the first day of class. And it isn't even that I am looking at it from a religious point of view either. I am just not convinced of it.

NO, NO, NO............that is exactly what your professors want. In an essay----------and I express ESSAY---state your opinion and back it up. An essay is a statement of opinion, backed by documentation - and followed by a conclusion. You might disagree with them but your Prof's are looking to challenge your thought and your mind. Don't be afraid to challenge ---- EVER. You will get a good grade for that.

REally? So I should write in the essay that I have not been convinced that we are descended from the australopithecines?

The first day of class the professor (a woman) told us if we wrote anything about religious beliefs we'd get an F.
