The 1st record you ever bought was last year ?

I cant wrap my mind around that.

My 1st was probably either Herbie Hancock and the Headhunters or Chick Corea and Return To Forever

I used to enjoy fusion jazz

It might have been Weather Report Heavy Weather....some drugs were involved, theres a certain amount of confusion during that period.

Well, this is very embarrassing.............."Sugar, Sugar" by the Archies. It was a single 45. I guess that dates me too.

It was a 45 record - probably the Monkey's

I have collected 45 for years and I have a old record player - old reel to reel - and several 8 tracks and a couple of 8-track players. I have albums, sheet music etc..

Anyway it was a 45 record - I have several of those center spacers needed for the record player remember those plastic disc things.?

Hey Clancy....I saw Helen Shapiro in a concert with Billy Fury, The Allisons and the Brook Brothers. Dave Allen was the compere....totally unknown then. I loved Billy Fury ....*swoon* & Adam Faith ..mmmm...and Johnny Leyton...what ever happened to him after he appeared in the Great Escape

If you mean one that was not given to me as a gift, it was probably either a Beatles or Herman's Hermits. They were my two favorite groups back when I was becoming interested enough in music to want to buy my own records.

My very first album was an Osmond album. I can't remember which one though.

I also had a couple by the Bay City Rollers.

I still have a couple of Moody Blues albums but the record player that I have needs a needle.

The first time I showed my albums to my daughters' they asked me where I got such big CD's! :wah:
