...yet another chapter in the 'Bez Saga'.

Today I put in an offer on a flat (apartment) and it was accepted. Sooooo...in early 2007 I will be a HOME OWNER again and I'll have a GARDEN again ! :yh_flower :yh_flower

It needs some TLC and a new kitchen, but I am so excited.

The way I see it, even the most immaculate place needs changing to suit you own taste and providing a bit of TLC = profit at the end of the day.

Best of luck with the conveyancing and don't get too stressed out during the move.

It's only 3 months since my house was sold so I'm bracing myself for the traumas to come.....I'm expecting the worse....so it can only be better.

It will be fantastic to get out of rented accomodation

Thanks everyone for your best wishes.

It's day 3 into the journey and I'm still as excited as a kid going to Disney world....silly old codger...!

The administrative 'wheels' will probably turn fairly slowly but as long as I'm 'the owner' by the end of February / March I'll be happy.

I plan to stay here in the rented place for a month after everythings completed so that I can decorate and have a new kitchen installed and carpet laid etc. I'm already 'window shopping' and in January there should be plenty of sales and offers.

I'll keep you up to date with progress - or maybe I should start a journal...mmm

Well I'm one step nearer to a home for my gnomes !!!

Filled in application for a mortgage and should hear next week if I've been successful.

I'll be 85 when it's paid off, but it's going to cost 60% less than if I carry on renting , will be my own to do what i want with and will be something for the kids when I depart this world. :)

Quick update....building society are processing the mortgage application and the Surveyor should be doing his valuation before Christmas. solicitor is getting the land Search and registry stuff done

So far the quotes for the professional fees have totalled £1,998....I budgeted for £4,000...so unless anything untoward happens, I'll have a bit extra towards improvements and furniture.
