Something classical for a girl. Clytemnestra, she had an open mind and she was pretty hammy.

I lean toward the Biblical names: Matthew, Mark, Luke, Joseph for boys. For girls the same: Rebecca, Elizabeth, Hannah, Joann...

But I'm old and they just sound good for names that this blessed baby has to walk around with for the rest of his/her life..;)

No I can't everyone would stop what they were doing, and look to see who would answer to the name.

I also like: Rachel, Anna, Claire, Heather(my daughters name) for girls.

They are both good Irish names, though we spell conor with one "n" usually, and erm thanks for the outrageously kind words on my new pic, I am gonna use it on myspace so tis good to get some feedback on it, though I'm not gonna hijack this very nice thread on something much more important. :)

Well, if I had ever had a baby girl I was going to name her Lydia after

a very dear aunt of mine... the name is a little old fashioned but

different and I like it. (Obviously!)

And for a boy, Bryce? It's welsh and means strength or valor...

Here is an idea if he is a boy, you could always name hi Richard after Richard Hammond of topgear with whom you share a nickname, he is a lovely fella, and its a nice name as well, there were a couple of King Richards as well, so it might be a smart move should it turn out that either you or OM are related to the Windsors.

Here are the most popular names in Ireland at the minute for the wee ones.

You might need a bit of help pronoucing the Irish ones such as Roisin is pronounced "Row-sheen", or Caoimhe is pronounced "Kwey-bha"

I like the following:

for a girl:

Elice

Lucy

Virginia

Hazel

for a boy:

Atticus

Henry

Etienne

Vincenzo

When I have a kid I have my names picked out already:

Girl: Laurie-Elice Dianne (after her aunts and grandma), we will call her Ellie

Boy: WIlliam Joseph (after his uncle and great-great grnadfather) and we will call him W.J. William Jospeh was the head of transportation (I think) under Roosevelt. Thats my husband's great grandfather.

All the choices are good ones. I remember reading some advice once....when picking a "cute" or "unusual" name, think ahead about 30 years...will the name still fit the adult in the business world?

I used to like Aaron for a boy. My grandaughter Katelyn has a nice name.
