On keyboards....

Post by RedGlitter »

Last night I spilled soda on my standard keyboard so it gave me a chance to use this rubber foldable keyboard I bought. Has anyone ever used these things? They are flat and all rubber/waterproof (good) with wobbly keys (bad!) Typing on it was hilarious. My old board dried out so I switched but I do have an illuminated board coming in the mail. All the keys are illuminated to allow typing in the dark. Has anyone had any experience with these?

keyboards make a big difference to me.

For one, my fingernails are fairly long so flatter keyboards work better.

I dislike (strongly dislike) keys that require my fingers to push them all the way in so I have mine set fairly sensitive. I'm on a N American keyboard but have to switch to UK settings on occasion which moves a few of the keys around and I just have to remember where they are. I've had to type on other people's computers from time to time and every instance has made me want to just use my laptop and email the text to them... so I sympathise with you.

As to glow in the dark keyboards; I'd be afraid of suddenly finding myself powering through outerspace where no man has gone before. Call me old school. Though I would like a wireless keyboard someday. If I could sit on my couch and type on my computer at a distance I'd be a happy lass.

My Son used to have one of those electronic tablet things, for use with his interactive classroom, and it, had a flat rubber keyboard. He liked it, I never tried one myself!:)

There she sat all alone with the ghostly glow from the keyboards the only illuimination as more and more in a frenzy she typed frantic in her haste when suddenly she let out a loud scream. At last she realised what was wrong, you need to have a luminuos monitor a well:yh_rotfl

You're just letting everyone know you can touch type aren't you?
