THANKYOU!!!! I JUST RECEIVED THIS GORGEOUS AUSTRALIAN WILDLIFE CALENDAR....and translation guide! it's really great photography! ...i have one question, the guide does not translate 'stone the crows' what is that??? ....it took me two years to learn Britspeak, now i have to learn Oz-speak! i also think it's a plot to keep me confused for another year, Neil gave me an English calendar for 2006 and i missed all the American :yh_flag holidays! :wah: ............thankyou for your thoughtfulness! :yh_flower

I love rainbow lorikeets. About a dozen pairs play in the gum tree outside my balcony. They smooch, literally. And chatter away. I do talk to them. Beautiful birds. I could never put one in a cage!!!

Hugs, Theia!!!

Yes, I agree, Diuretic. I don't really care for any caged or confined animals, though probably they survive longer than in the wild.

I know someone who rescues stray cats. When "saved", they never again go outside the house, never again put their feet on green grass, never again chase a butterfly. They don't get run over either, or kill songbirds - but ....

I too received the beautiful calendar, but only thanked Pammy via PM. A very big public thank-you to a lovely friend :-6

When I was in Florida last month, we went to a bird and flower sanctuary. They had lorikeets there. I bought some nectar and the beautiful birds decended upon me! It was wonderful!! The guide said they are the most social of animals and love to be with humans (if we have the nectar they love, that is!)

I have the best pictures where I am literally covered in the birds! :-4
