Okay, my meter said my batteries were low so I am hoping it's just the meter being wacky but I admit I'm a little scared here. WOuld there be any reason my blood sugar would go UP after taking insulin and my metformin pill?? :-3

Diabetics- Question!!
I've been feeling yuccky all day with no reason for it. I remembered I didn't take my last dose of insulin so I did that at 12:10. I read at 239. I tested again at 12:19 and I got 255. Then I just tested now- it's 12:34 and I got 355!!!!

If I read your post correctly it said that you were feeling yucky, took your insulin and then tested.
Next time, if you've forgotton, test first and then take your meds. Stress can also make your sugar rise regardless of your meds.
I saw in another post that your sugar was back down to 163, I think. That's better. How often do you do your A1C test? This should be done at least every three months fasting.
I hope you're feeling better now. Eat right and relax.

When choosing between two evils, I always like to take the one I've never tried before.

Thanks 911.
I'm feeling better today. I'm overdue for my tests but I have them coming up shortly. I'll mention this stuff to my doctor when I see her next. Thank you both for your concern!! :-4

Diabetics- Question!!
Hi Hammy,
I'm a bit better than yesterday, thank you, but still kind of fatigued. I think it may be something besides the diabetes. Have been working on getting the bipolar medication under control and that's difficult. That's probably partly why I feel yuccky. But we'll see if tomorrow is any better.
