This was a topic on CBC Radio's morning show today.

A woman recounted her childhood weekly piano lessons, which meant a casual fifteen minute drive over the border, then home again, 90 minutes later.

They also mentioned that there are several businesses and even homes along the Quebec/Vermont border that actually straddle the line.

You could easily enter a foreign country by merely walking into the bathroom. Imagine the confusion :

"Am I American?"

"Am I Canadian?"

Neither. You're a peein'.
