This message comes from a friend involved with the zoo. We're trying to manage the INCREDIBLY LARGE collection of slides and thinking of ways to do that.
Here's the question:
"I am looking for information on image database software. If you have experience with such a beast, programs that you recommend or despise, could you drop me a line.
I'm looking for a program that will manage a large image library, will allow multiple keyword descriptions per image and will show thumbnails."
Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks....

If the zoo has a website chances are very good that Coppermine is in their C-Panel. It's capable of categorisation and ties into the SQL database.
And it's free!
