I'll bite. Murder for example. If I were to commit a premeditated murder, I would commit the act in a small county with limited resources for autopsy or forensic investigation. I would render the subject unconcious via something like ether (not detectible after a short time), and while the subject is unconcious, insert a long strong stainless steel needle through either the ear, eye or nose, into the brain thus simulating something akin to a stroke or aneurysm. Done properly, there should be no external signs of violence or bleeding. Even if an autopsy was peformed, it would take a highly trained pathologist (not likely in a small county) to detect the real cause of death.
At this point there is no one I wish to murder.

I'd say it sounds like it would be more "O.J." than O.K.
I was in the local library yesterday, and I was amazed at the size of the "murder mystery" section. I know a lot of people find that sort of thing entertaining, but it never appealed to me. Not that I'm offended by it. I just don't happen to like it.
I'd go easy on the overthrowing governments idea though. Even in jest, or as a game, or as a hypothetical event, it's going to sound an alarm somewhere.

:wah: Was that off the top of your head????
"No, it was premeditated of course"
I like the answer, even though I was really kinda curious about the limitations we place on ourselves in open discussion groups.. the things we feel aren't safe or appropriate without the need for rules or guidelines to lead us...
"I think just about anything can be discussed if the wording and vocabulary is proper. That includes everything from bidet fixtures to nasal impediments."

Awww! When you said 'murder as a game' I thought you meant something like 'Murder in the Dark' where someone is 'murdered' and the 'detective' has to question everyone and work out who the murderer was. The best part is when you're the 'victim' and you get to scream your socks off - I was always very good at that! :wah:

Excellent post Lon! :wah:
I didn't know you could do that! :-2 I thought the best way would be to inject an air bubble which causes the victim to have a heart attack. I've never stuck a needle in a vein though so I'd probably do it wrong. I'd stick the needle in the vein and it would go straight through and come out the other side. Duh! Of course, then the injection site would start to bleed, the sight of blood would make me pass out and I'd be found unconscious lying next to the victim - who would probably be alright! Okay, so that's probably not such a good method for me!
And there's no one I want to murder at this moment in time either!

I wouldn't worry. Most of the ideas that we could come up with, someone else has already thought of and either published it, or posted it on the web.
Nothing wrong either, about plotting to overthrow a government, as long as you were not specific about the government or it's leaders. Specific threats against a specific country or indvidual could trigger an inquiry.

So if you keep it to "them" or "the enemy" you'd be Ok?
As in - we've just got to depose "the enemy" .... I'll take a flat in Washington and you can join me later. :wah:
