State of the countryside.

Post by CrazyCruizChick »

Where I live there are loads of forest areas and I love taking the kids for walks there but when I went there last week some one had dumped rubbish everywhere , glass bottles ,tin cans all sorts and at the same time the government want to bring in a Rubbish bin Tax and cut down the rubbish collection from one week to ever other week , so I'm expecting it to get worst. :(

Sign of the times I'm afraid, all our local village skip services have been stopped and rubbish is being dumped everywhere.

Pick it up. Thats how you can make a difference. Put some flyers up inviting people to meet there on a Sat. morning for 3 or 4 hrs. Just a thought.

My husband is a farmer, so in the winter he walks the roadside and picks up soda-pop cans. He gets much needed excercise and makes a lotta bucks too. Last night someone threw a Jack Daniels bottle(empty) in our front yard. I laughed and asked him why someone would do such an awful thing. He said : I guess everyone knows I pick up pop can's so I guess I needed some glass to and delivered it to me. :-6
