Does anyone here have a home business selling their crafts? Do you use consignment or sell online? What type of crafts do you make and sell? Would love to hear all about it since I'm a very creative person and am thinking about selling some of the things I do as a hobby for extra money!
It is better to have your mind opened by wonder
than closed by belief.

Go for it, I would but I don't think people would want to pay for my creations

My husband used to make dream catchers and I made beaded indian headdresses. We sold them at yard sales and flea markets. Word soon spread who made them and we were constantly making them. I don't know when or why we stopped. :-3

I used to sell my potholders and tea cozies in a tea shop. I made them out of calico fabric. I have a lot of those in my storage. they are so easy to make.
Hey, I've thought of opening an art gallery.

Rather than opening a gallery, unless you want to go big time. Ebay is probably the best idea. I have used them once to buy and once to sell, it of course work with little learning curve that not much.
If I were going to have many many items, my own site would be the ticket, and they do have hosts setup with storefronts already.
Always remember that setting up your own site take time (we all have) and then we need the knowledge to make people find the site.
I haven't read all the rules here yet so I'm not sure if you can promote your site here, but there are place out there.
So build your crafts, create those painting, make a bird house.

I make Disciples Crosses and sell them at Biker Ralleys, Get Togethers, and anywhere I can. Just wear a few around my neck and sooner or later, someone will ask about them. They actually sell themselves.
