Do you carry a billfold or wallet?

Post by Lon »

Ever since loosing my billfold in San Francisco's China Town many years ago, I stopped carrying a billfold or wallet. I carry paper money in my back pocket and one credit card in a shirt or pants pocket. Other cards like ID and drivers liscense I keep in the console of the car when I am out. If I drop dead somewhere, I think they would have a tough time IDing me with just cash in my pocket. Who cares.

I carry a wallet.

I only keep my ID, insurance card, and one credit card in it though.
The poolhall's a great equalizer. In the poolhall, nobody cares how old you are, how young you are, what color your skin is or how much money you've got in your pocket... It's about how you move. I remember this kid once who could move around a pool table like nobody had ever seen. Hour after hour, rack after rack, his shots just went in. The cue was part of his arm and the balls had eyes. And the thing that made him so good was... He thought he could never miss. I know, 'cause that kid was me.

I tend towards minimalism myself. I carry a money clip with a few dollars (never too much), my driver's license and a debit card. I never carry my credit card; I only use it for online purchases.

I still carry a wallet. Isn't a billfold another name for a wallet?

BTW Jimbo I heard you were looking for a purse, have you checked Ebay?:wah:

Bit stupid, easy to loose though surely.

A lot of guys I have known (and there have been A LOT, lol joke) put notes in their back pocket. I don't get that, way too easy to loose.

small change purse actually holds my essentials, and pockets hold the rest.

Hey Lon,

my mother went out walking one day a few years back, just for a stroll, she took a fall, and smacked her head on the ground, she was quite disoriented by this and a nice couple rescued her and drove her to the clinic and low and behold she could not be treated until she provided her ID, she had none on her posession, she had to phone dad to bring it for her.

I always carry my ID even when going for a hike or bike ride, it's important they know who to contact in case of an emergancy.

I carry some folding money in my back pocket and a wallet in my front trouser pocket.

I would defy any pickpocket to get either without my knowing it - pockets are too tight (like me?) for that.
