What do you think of my lil creation??

OK, it's a really crappy picture, I know, but here's an idea of what I've been up to lately. It's an earring from a pair I made just a few minutes ago. There are 5 beads on top and a circle type thingy made from paper. I wish my camera was good enough to really show the colors and the detail. The paper is this really cute striped stuff.

Uh, stupid camera. I'm highly ticked at it right now. :-5

Anyway, I'm thinking about making up a bunch of earrings in different designs to sell online. Obviously the camera would have to be higher quality to show it realistically and such. Stupid thing.

looks really pretty!

I love handmade jewelry. A good friend of mine made a fortune off of her jewelry. She was very talented and she is showcased in a lot of local boutiques now. You can really go far with that stuff. Keep it up! :-6

Thanks! It's caused me some major frustration since I'm new to this whole paper jewelry thing. It has a laminated type affect so it's sturdier than just regular paper. And the beads are just regular ol' beads. I'll stick with it anyway. I'll try to sell them locally too. In craft fairs and maybe stores if they'll accept them.

When I make enough to get up and running I'm going to give a percentage of each piece to fund activities for the dementia/alzheimer's patients where I work. We need funding for outings and such so badly! So, two birds with one stone, hopefully. :-6

aww that's a great thing to do!

Blown glass and other hand made beads always sell for a lot of money too. And they look great. I've always wanted to take up glass blowing but I'll save that thought for another thread and another day. Good luck with your jewelry! :)

Awww... thanks jimbo. I can always count on you for support.

I'll consider it. Right next to the marijuana cigarettes, 'cause I'll admit, you'd probably have to be high to buy them! :wah: Besides, they won't sell at WalMart. They weren't made in a third world country by little kids in a slave shop. :lips:
