The Secret Life Of Words

Starring Sarah Polley & Tim Robbins.

Hannah (Sarah Polley) finds herself aboard an oil rig caring for a man who suffered burns during an explosion. What ensues is the unfolding of the horrors she endured during the war in Yugoslavia by the hands of her countrymens soldiers as a young woman.

I was moved by this characters suffering and the coping abilities she managed to develop. I found myself yearning for her to find some semblence of peace and tranquility.

I loved this film and Sarah Polley is my new favorite actress.

I've never hreard of this movie. It sounds like something I would watch though:D

Sarah is a pretty amazing lady, and a very good actor. I'm hoping she starts directing in the next few years.

Julie Christie was in The Secret Life Of Words as well. A good pairing.

Just watched it two nights ago. It was excellent. I was moved to tears. It was one of those rare friends that tells you there are quality films out there. Tim Robbins was excellent as always. The young girl Hannah was wonderful also.

I wanted to see Away From Her. It was playing in my little town. I didnt go. Looks like I missed a good one.

Wasnt she wonderful when she revealed her secret ?

She has the ability to tell volumes with her facial expressions.
