“Gardens are a form of autobiography.”
~Sydney Eddison
I find great truth in that; personal truth maybe; but truth all the same. Let’s see if I can do the allegory justice. This is probably going to get me in trouble on a different, more personal place I put my stories. I like metaphors, but I love allegory"

“Gardens are not made by singing "Oh, how beautiful," and sitting in the shade.”
~Rudyard Kipling

If you did your research you will have picked a plot that will sustain the things that you enjoy most; the ground and you need to have some common traits.
It's like you wrote that part for me. Scary.
Look at the dry dirt and whisper to it that even if no rain falls during the hottest months of summer; you have a hose, a faucet, and the strength to drag that rubberized aqua duct to where ever the water is needed.
I like this part too. I can really apply this in a couple of ways to my life.
Another good one I think. Different from the ones we've been reading but a very good one.

That is about as autobiographical as I can do right now; well without the support of vodka tonics to help me along the way.

There are some gardens that were so passionately cared for that long after the gardener has moved on they still prosper and grow;
This is probably the part that says it most for me. I am the resulting still-prospering garden for someone who knows it not because he split long ago. But I continue to grow upright because he gave me the supportive frame I needed. And I still think well of him for that.
Very very nice, KB.

I really liked this one :-6 It reminded me of playing in my mamal's and nana's gardens with my Tonka dump trucks :driving:
Im gonna have to plant a garden for mom before I leave again.
Well, I'm gonna give you something to associate with here in about thirty minutes. Don't smoke all your cigarettes yet.

It ain't even close to that kind of "after" ciggie.

Yep. I was telling KB earlier that there is a familiarity in his stories. I can really settle in and read them. Like reading letters from a friend. They aren't the kind of stories you have to make yourself get into.
That and as I told KB, his writing style has a certain rhythm to it.
