Hey Neffers,
I'm doing WW too...not the meetings, just the cooking.
I'll pitch a tent in this thread too.

"Why not just tell people I'm an alien from Mars. Tell them I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight. They'll believe anything you say, because you're a reporter. But if I, Michael Jackson, were to say, 'I'm an alien from Mars and I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight', people would say, 'Oh, man, that Michael Jackson is nuts. He's cracked up. You can't believe a damn word that comes out of his mouth.' " Michael Jackson

I've dieted back and forth for years, trying god knows how many of the "fad diets". I started something different June 1st. I changed my lifestyle. I eat healthier (lot more fruit, less white bread, more wheat-based products, no sweets, etc), have become more active, and am on a better schedule of sleeping, etc. It seems to be working, as I've lost 23 lbs. so far, as of this past Friday. While I'm afraid of getting too excited about it, I must say the success I've had so far is encouraging me to continue, and that's something that's been a problem in the past.

Just keep at it, cause it's so worth it! For the first time in a while, I feel good about myself - not because I was suffering low self-worth due to my weight, but because I'm getting results as a direct result of my own efforts. THere's comfort in that.
Check out some of the info on the website for the Mayo clinic. Some really good advice, meal ideas, even caloric intake based on your current weight and how much you want to lose. I can't follow those specifically cause I'm a bit picky with various foods, but the ideas helped me, and it's getting to be just a habit to pick up the apple rather than something unhealthy.

Yeah, I relate 100% with you!! I am picky about foods I like and have been up and down in weight all my life...ugh! So, I KNOW what to do, it's the DOING it....but I am....slowly but surely...I am.
I was gonna throw a suggestion out there for a salad topper:
On salads, I like the cereal "Fiber One" helps with the fiber intake and it's nice and crunchy....I just had a salad with grilled chicken, and fiber one...yummmm
And I feel good!!:D

Now, I've never even considered using cereal on a salad, but I will defo pick some up..
I've become hooked on wraps for lunch. Wheat tortillas, with a variety of different ingredients. It's nutritious, very filling, and you can vary the ingredients with darn near everything.

Yeah, that's my pick too and grilled chicken...I'm not supposed to have processed deli meats...it gets a little pricey, shame that junk food is cheap.:-5 :-5
