Have you ever said something which seemed ok at the time and later thought "I really shouldn't have said that"?

We had an electrician at a place I worked at and he was working on a rivet press. He was asked if he'd disconnected the power. He said that he had, and to prove it to the person asking, he placed his thumb under the press. This would have been a splendid idea if he had actually remembered to turn the power off.

The thing that I later regretted saying was when I asked him if he wanted to sell his guitar. :o

Nah, he has got to be a bit of a plonker to try and pull a stunt like that in the first place. Deserved it mate, lol!!

My boss drives the top of the range Audi. You know, stretch limo vibe . One day though, I saw him standing next to a really nice brand new Audi which was a bit further down the food chain. What I didn't know was that it was a courtesy car while the stretch had some TLC. I said "That's not yours is it?"

He gave a derisory snort and said no. He's not a bad chap really so I really shouldn't have said "No, I didn't think so, you'd never get your ego in that one"

My next door neighbour had lost a hand and was very self conscious about it. Whenever he answered the door he would have a folded newspaper over his forearm to cover it up.

One day I looked out of the back window and saw that he was putting a garden fence up. He was really struggling to lift the concrete posts and put them into the holes he had dug. I want out to help him and said "Do you need a hand?", and he just looked at me with sad eyes.

I wanted the ground to open up and swallow me. :o

Just last night I came out with a couple of them :o Boss and I went to the pub and we met a guy who used to work for us. He was a bit unwashed and smelly and without thinking about it I stated "Hey you smell nice - been jogging?" :o

Then as we were leaving the pub a very short woman walked past us - she had a huge butt and boobs but because she was so short she looked really weird. Just as she walked past us I came out with "and they thought pygmys were extinct as well............)

So bad, so very very bad. :-5
Not so very very bad if you'd said "Vertically Challenged" :D

A guy turned up at work one day looking for a woman in the office. He asked "Is Karen round?" - I glanced at her and said "Well she looks it to me" :o

I was working at Hallmark for a guy so tight he squeaked.

We sold balloon bouquets. I was supposed to use the cheap balloons that would die overnight but this lady came in and it was a special occasion and she paid good money so I thought she should get what she paid for. I used the good balloons.

Boss comments to me how much money I just cost him by using decent balloons. I said "Mark I see balloons and you see dollar signs." Not the smartest thing to say, I admit. He said "Would you like to take the rest of the day off Terri?"

He was still a jerk even if I was wrong. Tightwad.

I was talking with my boss today about what a jerk a co-worker was. I turned around and he was 5 ft away. But hey he earned the title so after the initial cringe I shrugged it off.
