My niece is killing herself
My niece has been bulemic for 6 years. 24 years old and 5' 2" and about 75 pounds. Now she started drinking like a freaking sailor. I say it's death wish. Anyway, she ended up in the hospital 2 times in the past 3 weeks for acute alcohol poisoning. Then 2 days ago she ended up in the hospital with liver failure. Her kidneys were failing also. She got out of ICU yesterday...her kidneys had started working.............her liver is not going to recover. One more drinking episode will kill her. The docs wanted to give her a liver transplant last Sunday but she had JUST been in the hospital for acute alcohol poisoning.
Do you know who I really feel badly for?..............My brother...........I could not imagine losing my child to suicide. To go through this turmoil and grief!!

I am so sorry for this situation. And for your brother. Unbearably painful. What can I say? There is nothing to say. We need a miracle.

The survivor is out of the hospital................I am really upset she has not learned anything. My niece will be dead by 30 or maybe 26. She owes $61,000.00 to the hospital. My brother has said he will no longer pay for her illness.

It must be heart breaking for everyone. I hope that she will come to her senses and that all works out.

My niece is killing herself
Ihave known a couple of people whose physical condition was as serious as your nieces, and they survived. I knew of one girl who 15 years ago, at 22 drank so much, her body shut down and she was in a coma. She is now 37, a mom, and still living. Sometimes someone who decides they want to fight for life, can make it.

Does she go for help anywhere? Does anyone know why she is doing this?
I must say, my thoughts are with you and your family. Try to find out why she is doing this are tell her to seek help.

She may just be an alcholic, they most likely know this! Alcholisim is a terrible disease, that is extremely difficult to concur!
My former BIL turned out to be an alcholic, and we didn't know it at the time.
At my wedding he was just 11-1/2 years old, and at the end of the wedding when we all were leaving, we found him completely smashed beyond reason!
Come to find out, he was going around to all the tables where people got up to dance, and he would finish all the half empty glasses of any kind of alcohol! Later we found out he started at around 11 years old, when he raided my FIL's liquor bar, and kept filling the half empty bottles back up with water. Well, anyway, to make a long story short, after being diagnosed as an alchoilic, he went to AA (to no avail) for several years till he died at the tender age of 21-1/2!!!
