Is this Spooky?..... Or not?

Ok,, My deceased Grandfather was polish. He was my step granda really but the only one i ever knew. He was a wealthy land owner and timber merchant in Poland until the war when his brother in law betrayed him and he ended up in the POW camps, one being Auswitch. he escaped, just as the Americans came in i think and was saved. He ended up here in Sunderland which is where he met and married my nana taking on all 6 of her children and later adopting one more. Anyway back to the point,, my mother recently gave some information to my daughter and asked her to look on the internet to see if she could find any information on him. ( MY neice had apparently found some but couldnt remember where). Now since my daughter has searched a few sites ( without much success) she has received 3 different phone calls on her mobile asking to speak to my grandad by name. His name is quite unusual being polish. My daughter did not leave details on any of the sites and did not register with any of the sites. So how can this happen??? How would they know her mobile number, one woman asked how long she had it and had she not bought it from someone. She has had this number for the past 3 years. I just cant think of a way people can get your mobile number just through searching different sites on the internet

I would try talking to the people that call because that is strange.

No, the silly girl:rolleyes: I said she should have asked, and if anyone calls again to ask. She just got spooked and said no hes not here hes dead!!!

That's what I was going to say Sunny. I think there's a site on the net that has all cell phone numbers and email addresses. Maybe your daughter's last name is similar to someone trying to research their family history.

that is Very spooky....wow...honestly I'd be the same way as your daughter, I'd freak out and not think to ask, ummm, how did you....and where was.....and when did.....hmmmmm????

They asked to speak to my grandfather,, she said one of the calls was from British Gas. I think they would have said surely? if they were looking for relatives:-3 plus it does'nt explain how they got her number,,, she said she left no details on any of the sites,

i know! im going to ask her again to rack her brains trying to remember if she gave any details at all. Its just so hard to believe otherwise,,, i mean his surname is so unusual, and yes sites may recognise someone searching a name, and maybe they would send junk mail etc. but how would they get my daughters mobile number:-2

speaking of this..i have been getting alot of junk mail and advertisements to my address and its addressed to a nicname i use on another site...i really dont like that....:-5

Thats what i mean Guppy, i dont think i would have given it much thought if she started getting mail to her e mail address,,, but cant understand how she would get phone calls:-2

i have been getting stuff snail mail..:-3 yesterday i got oil of olay samples and it was addressed to infinity..the nic i use on jaf...
