So what I learned pretty much from it is WOW. I did not know some data thing was tracking everything about me! and with a simple click im categorized. Oh and that info is used in campaigning. weird... but my question is...
Can advertising really make a huge change? Can all this really have an effect in the long run? I know about the theory accumilation of minimal effects but can that be used in this situation? and what are your oppinions after you saw this?
Mine is this...
Media doesn't have as much power as they think they do. Why do people really use what they use? I believe that a huge percentage of us have brains that decide. Sure the media might influence but i don't think its as huge impact as they think it is... am i wrong?
Side note*******
Is this world really lacking community??? Does this world really long for the good ole fashion days? And is the church not supplying it?
"And that's the object of emotional branding: to fill the empty places where non-commercial institutions, like schools and churches, might once have done the job. Brands become more than just a mark of quality, they become an invitation to a longed-for lifestyle, a ready-made identity."- DOUGLAS RUSHKOFF:
think about it... oh and watch it or this makes no sense!
Youve been in college what....3 days ? :wah:
