and feel quite lost... :-1

My boss and friend has accepted a job with another company. I am happy for her but on the other hand am feeling completely lost she had plans to help me out, plans to change things over, plans to work with me and train me further and now I am going to be left on my own until I find another job.

I feel awful cause I should be happy she got out of here, I know I have to do the same but I can't help but feel completely abandoned we were the last hold out of a team that worked well together.

Christ how stupid of me to feel like this.

I am in tears.

I am so tired of always changing. Like I said to taco I want stability I am feeling horribly sorry for myself right now.

Yah there is lots to look at here in the land of plenty guess I am just a bit scared bloody yet again. I loved this job till it got ruined, I will no longer have my support unit or my future trainer

I feel rather ill prepared to be quite honest.

Sending hugs!!!! It's very hard when life has you already at at fragile turn, and then when you're feeling completely drained, again kicks you in the head. Reckon you should poke out your tongue at the world, punch it back, then grab a girlfriend and go shopping - or maybe just dance a fandango in your garden, possibly catching early snowflakes on your tongue!

But they're all right about change...you know that saying "nature abhors a vaccuum." Sometimes I think change happens when and because it knows you won't do what you have to do any other way. It forces your hand. That's not necessarily a bad thing.

Can I share with you that I'm going throught the same thing. I know exactly how you feel. All the good wishes from friends are so wonderful and special because you're so supported, but it doesn't always change things, does it? I think we just have to remember the wonderful advice from friends and know that time heals many wounds.

My best friend at work is leaving in December ,and I am absolutely devistated. I'm crying right now because I can't believe that she's leaving. It is just breaking my heart because I know that things will never be the same. She is ONE of the rocks that holds my sanity together. But, the downside is that I have to organize the going away party and give a speech. I know that I can give a great party but cannot give a speech. I wouldn't be able to speak. I'm not looking forward to it.

I just know that my phone bills are going to be very high...she's moving to Florida.

It's about the feeling of abandonment , loss of a dear friend that you can chatter onto all day about your problems and know there's support there. and not seeing my dear friend again for a long time. Well as so many of your other friends have already said, & I'll add my 2 cents too, you will do just fine. You weren't born just last night, you've been working and successfully contributing to you team's effort for years already!

This will work out for the good, I'm a firm believer in that all things happen for a reason, it's just that we don't know what it is yet. One day you will be able to look back and say 'That bloody hurt but the end result was worth it'. Like injections, painful but necessary:D

I'm currently at that crossroads regarding work myself - hard to know which way to take, sometimes I think it just needs a leap of faith and to throw yourself headlong into something just to see what happens.

Now I'm rambling and talking rubbish but you know what I mean,
