I work as a senior manager in Social Services. My husband and I moved from our native Yorkshire 21 years ago to the west of England. As we both work full time and much of our spare time is spent with our 2 daughters and grandchildren, it doesn't leave a lot of space of friendships. We are also home-birds so enjoy relaxing in from of the box. Joining this site will also, hopefully, help me to pass a pleasant hour or so in the evenings.

I look forward to chatting with anyone and everyone who wishes to chat to me.

I am originally from a small mining /market town in Yorkshire, Thorne near Doncaster. Unfortunately not as thriving now as it was before the pits were closed.

And 'Unc', my family was from South Wales - the Rhondda.
