DARN SLOW!

Here is an update on my silly home improvement project just in time for christmas mayhem misery thing!!!

I now have all walls painted, I do not have baseboards, see picture 1.

Because I do not have baseboards, I do not have a proper stand and shelves for my new TV (Why move in big furniture items when they have to be moved for install of baseboards) so it sits on the old coffee table for now see pic 2. Due to Jr. Minks failure to tell my the furniture company called, I do not have my new couch and chairs as they could not reach me, delivery date remains pending again refer to pic 2. The hall closet doors were ugly, they will be replaced, currently it's a big gaping hole, see pic 3. I hate being exposed so have hung up ugly lace panels on nails for a bit of window coverings as I had to toss the ugly ratty venitian blinds and other curtains out see pic 4, and refer again to pic 2. My computer desk was taken away by my daughter as I plan to have a new one (after baseboards are installed), in the mean time kitchen table has been moved to computer area to hold up my modern technology see pic 5. In place of a kitchen table in my kitchen, I have my wee patio table and it's only 2 chairs, things look as lame as can be as new kitchen set is pending again refer to pic 4.

And yes you got it, there are no christmas decorations, or a christmas tree, why bother when its all going to have to be moved for the install of baseboards. And even when they arrive, who knows it seems my only available space until the rest of the furniture comes for a tree is my kitchen window.

It's a crazy circle of events, and my luck I will have the second hand furniture all moved out and be sitting on my yoga mat watching my new big TV while I await baseboards, and furniture.

And amazingly I keep smiling.

One thing at a time. You'll get there. You should hook up with foopy, shes a regular carpenter. Well I dont really know if shes regular. I assume shes not but that shouldnt matter.

Sounds like one hell of an ordeal. Never mind though, I'm sure it will all be worth it in the end. You'll be able to sit back, relax and enjoy your new home. In the meantime, it will drive you mad though!
