Is The Sun available at the local grocer cashier stand? This writer needs to shift to scripts and away from news. A single bite is hardly a "frenzied feeding session," as he calls it.

BTW, what's this got to do with global warming?

hi

its apparently proof of global warming that the sea temperatures around the uk coast are rising enough to attract creatures which have never been seen there before.Great white sharks have never officially been seen on our coastline.

In the article Dr Ken Collins, of the National Oceanography Centre, Southampton, said, “There is no reason why there wouldn’t be great white sharks off the coast. They live in water with similar temperatures, and eat grey seals.”

I was just curious and didn't see the link. I'm honestly not that interested in the global warming debate, especially since Al Gore said it was over :yh_wink. If the water's been warming around your coast over time, then I spose Dr Collins' statement fits with your title.

just occurred to me, some people on tv are saying it is a hoax, but others are saying a shark could have done it miles away then the carcas washed up on the beach.

if a shark did it miles away, its winter, the sea is rough, surely the tail end would have been ripped off before it washed up given that the bite is so deep?

I think you should move to Antarctica, where there are no great white sharks, and you will be able to sleep at night with less fear that global warming is going to destroy the planet while you sleep........ :wah:

I just watched a 20/20 episode about myths & lies. In Gore's movie on global warming, he uses footage that was actually computer-generated for the movie "The Day After Tomorrow," leading the viewer to believe it is a real landscape.

I guess a little white lie is okay as long as we get the point across, eh?

Here's what you Green bean psychologically unstable lovely folk need to do to stop this shark attack phenomenon from going any further.......

Are you ready.......? Get a paper and pencil ready.........!!!

Okay, here's what you all do.......... Get you're expired bottles of Prozac and those kinds of drugs, and maybe valium's or whatever you don't need at the moment, and flush them down the To-to.... They will end up probably in the rivers and steams, then into the oceans, and there is a VERY GOOD chance that the drugs that help keep you all from turning into psychotic killing machines will also do the same for the sharks................... This will be needed to be done to counter act the affects of Global warming.... So PLEASE, don't delay, go get your excess of these helpful drugs at once, and get them into the oceans of the world.....!!! The sharks need your help..!!!!!

See, maybe we do have an answer to all these Global Warming related horrible events after all, and we all can fix them........

Or maybe.....???????????????????????????? It's that swimmers look like shark food..................? And when we go into they're environment, we are no more than an a snack.............

But THE FACTS ARE, that from all major oceanic temprature recording sites worldwide, the seas have NOT warmed noticably in the past decade.....????

Please post you're scientific info to the contrary............

Pay no attention to this story. It's in the Sun. Believe nothing it says without independent confirmation.

I was just being sarcastic..... :wah:

It's kind of hard to take a subject like this any other way except with some humor..? :D

I wonder when the Koi in my fishpond will want to eat my fingers when I feed them, because of global warming..?

It's a scary world we live in........ And global warming doesn't make it any easier to sleep at night....???? :p hahahahaha....

Please post you're scientific info to the contrary............ Let me tell you what you're doing, now that I've watched for a while, because I've worked it out.

In any set of data you can sieve out some and say "this is low, this is low, this is low" and put them in a pile. What you're doing is collating a subset of the data (such as "seas have NOT warmed noticeably in the past decade", taking a specific period where that's the case) and gloating over the apparent denial of the overall picture which that single statement implies.

Why are you wasting your time doing this? You're setting up Aunt Sally just to knock her over. You rely on it taking you a minute to type in a sentence-worth of claim which it takes anyone hours to read up on before they can discuss the content. And what on earth is this fixation with screeds of posts on Antarctica?

Lol, you will never "work it out".... :wah: Because you have no clue who I am, your posted snippets(links or whatever*rolls eyes in discust*) of the things you find offensive about me only let me know you don't know me, or ever took the time to find out... :D

What many of you are missing, is that the data you are trusting you think is true, and not just a theory, a computer model that has failed in tests and can't be proved, or just an oppinion of a scientist that is longing for more funding and a name for him/her self by banging the gW drum...... But gooood Gawd if those so called facts sound good, and professional, just copy and paste them to confirm your point of view......... Sadly though, more and more of the most experienced scientists around the world are standing in the corner of "we are all fine, our car exaust isn't destroying the planet, so live a happy and prosperous life"...!!!!

It's becoming apparent not just here but especially in Europe, that people are sick and tired of this pocket draining dribble.... They voted out the socialist / liberals in France, and now many in UK, for some more down to earth (excuse my pun), conservative government leaders... It's just a shame the USA is a few uyears behind the peoples voice in Europe, people here are still banging on the liberal bandwagon, and it will bite us in the butt just like you in Europe have already discovered, but we are too dumb to figure out here...... YET.... But we will catch up.....

Your post is good though...

And BTW, the ice in Antarctica is thicker than anytime in recorded history...... Guess my "fixation" on that is because I find it hard to see gW when ice is forming at record levels..?

You may not think I'm at your scientific level as to speaking at your above the common slob level of talk, but I have common sense, and so do the majority of people out there, not just here, but in your countries as well, and they are coming together and realizing that this gW is nothing more than a money making hoax, created to make certain people very rich and powerful.... That is the "fact" that you neglect to comprehend, nor will discuss, or even admit.... You all have been caught up in it, hook.......... line............ and sinker.............. :)

Many here in this country have too..... It's just sad that it takes us more time to see the truth.....

Those responsible for all this should be *&$%#@!)(&^#^^%....

Cheers.... :)

That's you're problem, you're too polite to add a little humor, sarcasm or satire to your posts, or a few "lols" every so often to break up your monotinous factoids, but not too polite to post open replies quoteing me in assorted topics trying to insult and degrade me.... Yeah, you're very polite, I'll have to write that down on my notepad so I don't forget...???

LOL LOL LOL :wah:

PS. And btw, I've read some of your old, old topics when this place was going to h**l, so spare me the politeness, I know you better than you know me..... Keep that in mind.... Lol

I repeat, in your posts regarding global warming you're setting up Aunt Sally just to knock her over.

Look at the upside to global warming. We were concerned about water polution. All this influx of melting is dilluting the polluting. LOL,LOL.

Make it work for you. Buy stock in companies that make water pumps and boats.

LMFAO.

Can you back up that fact?

I know that the warming signal that is penetrating into the oceans has been identified as anthropogenic:Penetration of Human-Induced Warming into the World's Oceans

"A warming signal has penetrated into the world’s oceans over the past 40 years.

The signal is complex, with a vertical structure that varies widely by ocean; it

cannot be explained by natural internal climate variability or solar and volcanic

forcing, but is well simulated by two anthropogenically forced climate models.

We conclude that it is of human origin, a conclusion robust to observational

sampling and model differences..."
