Leonard Peltier

I was curious how many of you know about Leonard Peltier. He is an American Indian who has been in prison since the late 70's for shooting 2 FBI agents. There was a shoot out, and when the smoke cleared, so to speak, 2 agents and 1 American Indian,Joseph Stuntz, were dead. (Joseph Stuntz's death has never been investigated by the FBI.)

From all of the information I have gathered, I believe that Peltier is innocent. Too many things just don't ring true. Even a few FBI agents have admitted that they are certain Peltier is not guilty.

Amnesty International, Bishop Desmond Tutu, and Rev. Jesse Jackson among others find him to be a political prisoner who needs to be released immediatly.

One of the saddest days in my life was when I said that if the FBI said he was guilty then he must be. Little did I know that they lied and railroaded the man into a lifetime in prison.
