I bloody hate funerals

Post by Peg »

I'm sorry it took me so long to wade through all the new posts and make it here.

Have a safe trip, don't worry about what the family thinks, and say your goodbyes to your friend. I don't handle funerals well at all. Just remember your wonderful memories. I hope that when it's my time, someone says the wonderful things about me, that you said about him. :-4

It's hard to say goodbye to friends ,but it needs to be done.

Try & remember all the good times Pinky, that helps the most.
It's nice to be important, but more important to be nice.

Funerals can be pretty crap. Sorry that you've got to go to one Pinky, I hope you get the chance to raise a glass to your mate.

I notice most people seem to be glued to the car-crash TV type threads. Well, in short, I'll remember that and give you the same time of day.

Little wonder people bother coming back.

I've just told someone who gave a damn :yh_giggle

Luv ya Pinky :-4

He was your friend, and you should be allowed to say goodbye to him. Ignore what the people who have judged you wrongly say, and do what is in your heart. :-4

As has been said Pinky he was a good friend pay your respect and be gone. I can't do funerals period, just creeps me out, always has since I was a kid. I will show up sign the guest book then leave just can't do the whole service, graveside thing. I want to remember people as they were alive, but that's just me. :o
ALOHA!!

MOTTO TO LIVE BY:

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, champagne in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming.

WOO HOO!!, what a ride!!!"

It all went ok, the few people I'd met actually seemed glad I'd come, which was nice. Everyone sang a song that he'd written and the speeches really brought a lump to my throat...things like memories of bike races down absurdly steep hills whilst hammered on cider...all the things he'd told me about. It all caused a bit of a blubber moment!

Still, If I've learnt anything, it's that enthusiasm for life, fun and laughter are infectious and that they're the best tonic for any ailment. I'll carry on remembering that.

It makes you realise we only one shot at this life - lets make the most of it :-4
