Not overweight, didn't smoke or drink....................then! Some :-5 thing drove me in that direction but that's another story me thinks sitting here scoffing on Cadburys dark chocolate bar and Irish coffee...past midnight with N.O'Somnia beckoning.

Anyway, them that know such things say that birth size dosen't seem to matter much by the time you reach middle age. For all the mums and dads here what did your bungle of joy weigh in at?I was only a 6 pounder but all of my babies were much bigger. #1 was 7lb 8oz; #2 was 8lb 12oz; #3 was 9lb 8oz and she was delivered four weeks early by emergency C-section!! I am diabetic and that has a lot to do with their larger weights!! I was also in my early twenties when my first two were born but I was thirty-two when the last one was born. Believe me, it makes a difference. :yh_tired

Okay, you ladies are going to hate me, but all three of mine were exactly 7lbs. I gained 10 pounds during the first pregnancy and was 15 lbs lighter after birth. The second and third I gained 20 pounds each and was back to my normal pre pregnancy weight within a month. I think Breastfeeding helped with the weight thing. I craved healthy foods all through all of them....vegetables, fruit..I think I could have overdosed on V-8 juice! I am not a junk food eater though, so that may have helped.

My best friend's first baby was 12lbs 2 oz. Poor girl..she's only 5'4!!

My 16 year old is 6'3" 185 lbs. Size 15 shoes!! I think he may sprout up another couple inches this summer. My middle child is the tallest in her class, I think she may be my height eventually (5'9") But the youngest is quite petite, I think she may have My Mothers genes, (5'1") But then again she is the baby so she looks smaller. I guess I will see.

My son, 17, was eight weeks early and weighed a whopping 3#2oz. Within a month and a half, you would have never known he weighed so little at birth. My daughter, 15, weighed 6# 13oz. Quite a difference!
