i read this and i found it quite disturbing , we take the internet for granted to be able to go to any site we want when we want but if this article is anything to go by that could be a thing of the past


This is an american issue. If the US goes this way it doesn't mean the rest of the world follows suit. Telecom providers would come up against Eu competition laws if they try that here.

Hopefully we will keep the kind of culture where companies get regularly smacked back in to place. The US is a dominant player it's by no means a given they will remain that way and they have a habit of assuming we all have to fall in to line.
