Your first ever post

I was just having a lot back at some of my really old threads from a while back and happened to glance at my first post in FG. It got me to thinking does anyone remember what their first FG post was, and looking back at it now do you see any differences from then and now since you have been at FG?

:wah: Huge Huge Huge difference, I was building up courage to leave an abusive husband. I was a nervous wreck with no faith in my self to go it alone, nearly three years later and here I am, stronger and so much happier!! :-6

Well for me it was easy because I haven't made that many topics, so I clicked My Topics and went back to page 1. Other than that I guess you would just have to do some searching around. I guess for most people it would be an introduction thread but not for everyone.

Well it sure was a long time ago for a lot of us. I for one never in my wildest dreams would of thought that 2 and a half years later, I would of made so many friends, had so many laughs and even attended the first FG meet up. How far things have come huh! :-6

Oh and speaking of first posts, I remember I was trying to look into the dark depths of FG a while back and find the first ever post or thread by someone in FG. I was close, but couldn't find it, but if anyone can please post it, would be interesting to see!

Oh, I have so many posts, I went looking to see what my first one was. I dunno......:wah:

I joined March 2005, it was six months after my husband became ill, and everything changed. I think everyone here helped me through all those times, to where we are now. It is cool to have so many friends here!:-4

I know it's great isn't it Chonsi. FG and its members have been through so much over the years, and if you actually stop and take a look back at the rollercoaster ride that has happened it really brings back a lot of memories, some happy, some sad, but all memorable in their own unique way.

I can't access my original post as I had deleted my account twice and my original posts are gone. Aussie Pam had invited me to the FG and she posted a welcome thread for me asking for everyone to be kind to me as I'm her friend.

Pam welcomed me first and then I think it was Magenta and Chonsi:-4 I was over the moon being a member here.

I couldn't find my first post. :-1 The one major difference between then and now is that I don't post as much. It just isn't worth it when you can say something as simple as "have a nice day" and someone wants to argue about how you worded it, 10 things to prove you mean it, etc.

Oh, it is different posting now Peg, but I think we should always post anyway. If others misread it, it is not our problem...................

I always have FG on when at home-I may not be posting, but I look every half hour or so at everything written. It is part of being home, because it is like home here.

ha ha haha...... I was down in Georgia. Very miserable, and home sick for Virginia, and my family. I owned a business, that was choking me financially.

I was talked into getting the computer for the business. I found FG the very first day, I never entered one number related to the business, into the computer. I was so amazed by the internet, and FG. My staff used to laugh at me, being so enthralled with FG. I am back in Virginia, no longer a florist... and there isnt any money to choke me:wah:

Hi I'm new to posting on forums, well newish 'cos a local town website has a discussion forum which is mainly full of small-minded local gossip (but some of it hugely entertaining!) I have been posting some stuff but I've got bored on it - too stupid for words.

Anyway I live in a small seaside resort in the south of England, am married, have kids, not much of a social life 'cos busy with work and family etc and would like to make some new friends - so here I am! Please, someone talk to me......anyone.....

That was mine!!!

Nothing much has changed, I think, in my posting style. Still working though changing my job at the moment, family is growing up and moving on well with their lives, have made some wonderful friends here and had a fab time at the Birmingham meet.

I don't even recall my first post prolly some mindless run on drivel going on and on about nothing....:wah:

Oh heck I have changed a lot, I came in here with a big chip on my shoulder during a bad time in my life. I had just recently been banned from another forum and felt I still had points to prove ahahahaha silly old bird eh.

Much has changed with me just like FG has changed. I have made many a great friend, a handful of enemies and learned a lot.

This place has been a grand sounding board for me over the past few years and despite the peaks and valleys of emotion I still like coming in and checking up on everybody hewhehehe

See mindless drivel as always.

Mwahh to you all

OOOOOO one more thing, I got to meet some pretty cool people from here in real life and wish I could meet a whole lot more of you... that was life changing.
