London buses

Post by AussiePam »

Yeah... I know it's Sunday night - on a long weekend - and sure we had a bottle of best red vino with our curry in the high street - BUT then I saw a double decker, red London bus full of gorgeous young women. Kid you not. The bus apparently came from Putney. And the girls said it was a hens' night do - and they were well away. In Sydney, Australia, in the rain. yeahh...

Truth is stranger than fiction.

Just last week I was walking through a magical tunnel filled with magical butterflies singing Swing Low Sweet Chariot

I thought "hey....you dont see this every day" !

Well coming from the heart of London and still going there to but my stock I have to say that even now so many memories come flooding back when I see the buses.....except in my day it was a conductor and a driver....dogs allowed upstairs only then and free.....wonder what happens now. Also does any of you remember the Green Line Buses....they were meant to be quicker than then Red Ones and dearer. So what numbers bring back childhood memories.......has to be numbers.....5...15 and 25 that stick out the most oh yes and the 253 lol.....gawd as Im sitting here so many more I can remember so I better sign off now me thinks ;)

Old style RTL. Apparently it used to work Route 19 - from Putney depot!!! Yeah - my London born partner shed tears of nostalgia!!! I don't think he even so much as noticed the existence of the two dozen gorgeous scantily clad nubile wenches celebrating the coming wedding of one in fuscia hair and a pink mini veil. Not when he could gaze at a delectable, double decker, red London omnibus.
