That souldn't be alarming. The US hostage situation happened shortly after the fall of the Shaw of Iran. Any political leaders in that country would have surley had a role to play in the revolution.

This is the man that said he wants to wipe Israel off the map. He also claims the the holocaust never happened. When he visited the US, he asked for permision to visit the 9/11 site and was refused. He continues to enrich uranium which he wants to turn into nuclear weapons to wipe out Israel. Israel is getting set to go in and destroy all the nuclear plants in Iran.

terrorists who end up head of state are not anything new. The first leaders of |Israel were terrorists who went on to become respected heads of state. In more recent times we have Nelson Mandela who as a former terrorist is probably the best known example of a one time terrorist now a respected statesman. Not to mention all the irish terrorists now released as part of the peace agreement. One man's terrorists is another man's freedom fighter.
