Awaiting the Big Speech

Post by Lon »

Wife is off to New Zealand for a month to visit her ailing 98 year old dad and I am cooking up a big pot of home made spaghettti, making a salad, cutting up some french bread, drinking some burgundy and getting ready to watch Obama's big speech.

I love good speech making and it will be interesting to see how this one compares to those that have preceded him.

Last nights DNC speech was fantastic. Clinton (Bill) really poured it on.

I truly :-4 Obama! Would love to be at Invesco Field (Denver, Colorado).

I'm coming over for leftovers Lon!

ALOHA!!

MOTTO TO LIVE BY:

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, champagne in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming.

WOO HOO!!, what a ride!!!"

Do you think he would do the country more good than harm ? No

Do you think he can appeal to the Republicans ? Yes

What will Limbaughs shtick on Obama be for the next 4 yrs ? Similar to Clinton. The guy's not extremely imaginative.

I think I need to think more about this whole thing. Frankly, I am not happy about any of the candidates. I felt the same way during the last presidential election. One thing for sure---------this is going to be more interesting than the last one.
