Which one is longer? The debate continues............................................

See what I did there? Clever aren't I?

So here's the deal... we've got this debate that all started when a post was made in a blog claiming that a certain thread was the longest of all time... which it clearly was at the time, as nothing else came near it in physical length, character count, or word count. There was a reason behind this trivia knowledge, which only I am aware of as of this moment, but... anyway back to the debate. This claim was made and the next day another thread went up to contest this claim that had already been made and researched. The question is... which of these threads are longer?

These are the facts that we know.

1) Juxtaposed next to each other, one is indisputably longer than the other:
