Why Do Some Women Beat Up Their Husbands?

my MIL did that to my FIL, just because she could!.........but only when she was drunk of course......she would also chew him apart to others when she was drunk, she was a mean bitch....and he knew better than to hit her back........he couldn't for one, he loved her, it was in her moments of distusting drunkiness!

We found that out after my FIL's passing of cancer, he lived in fear, he did everything plus for her, he wasn't about to leave her..........he had to much invested in the marriage............the only thing she ever did was cook, everything else was up to him...........and she did not work!

We all also blame her for his dying................another story.

I don't know, I guess you could ask the question who does any human beat another human into fear doesn't matter male or female its wrong.

Most likely because they can and feel the need for power over another human being.

My guess is that women beat up their husbands because they watched their mothers beat up their dads... but that's purely a guess.

I threw an ashtray at my ex-husband 30 years ago... fortunately I've got a pretty bad aim.... but that was one time and I've never forgotten it.. I would only argue up to a point after that... then I would walk away emotionally.. sometimes for days.. then it became weeks... then I just checked out entirely...

Well I used to work evenings so i encouraged my wife to go long to judo classes-she got keen and ended up with a black belt. She had to give up competing due to a knee injury and git interested in ju jitsu and ended up a brown belt.

I don't know why she beats me up, usually when I remember to ask her I pick the wrong moment and she gets annoyed. She's a northern lass and they seem a violent lot-sort of norah batty with attitude and a terrific left hook.

Domestic violence is never acceptable. And never funny. A woman raping a man isn't funny either, thought that too has apparently occasionally been known to happen.

Totally agree Pam, Men get abused as well as women and it is unacceptable for both sexes. Never a laughing matter...Even in jest...My mother was a victim of domestic abuse.

2 main reasons,,,,1=to get a response from the too placid husband,she is saying "for christ sakes put me in my place,be a MAN!",,,,2nd=because she despises him so much for being weak.the reason so many abused people men and women seem to do lots and lots for their abusers is because they are forever trying to sooth the "beast"

I think its the same as why do men beat up their wife, its a mentality thing. A good example is Galbally's sig -

"A smack in the face settles all arguments, then you can move on kid."

Not that i'm suggesting Galbally beats up his wife, i dont even know if he has one, just that its a good example of how a lot of people think.
