Ballot Propositions and YOU

Post by RedGlitter »

So. I've been sitting for the last two hours at the kitchen table with the Proposition Book we got in the mail, reading them to my dad and discussing how we want to vote. We do this with all props; read the "for" and"against" and try to see how each side tries to sway us to their way of thinking. They can be very misleading so you have to really read between the lines.

We're taking a dinner break and are not completely through the book yet but so far the ones I'm most interested in are the Health Care Reform, one about hiring illegals and one about changing the constitution to recognize marriage between a man and woman only.

I really study the issues and I find that talking about them with people helps me to understand all sides.

So, do you study the propositions and all the angles or do you shine 'em on till you get to the voting booth? Or do you even vote on them? Personally, I take the Props more seriously than I even do voting for president and I look forward each time to seeing what they are.

What Props are you voting on this time?

:)

Oh yes, I read the propositions, and the other information about represenatives, judges, etc. The big one in Maryland is about allowing slot machines.

this election. we all will have to learn to read between the lines. And to figure out. Who is just feeding us a line of bull. I think we all who vote. should think long and hard before we close that curtain and cast our votes.
