He bankrupted Iceland for shafting British investors,
He sacked the Bank Giants
He is the man behind the economic recovery blue-print,
He is the brains behind the proposed United bank regulation committee,
He slashed fuel prices
He has opposed an act for credit card companie's to re-possess houses,
He has said Britain will see tax cuts in the mini budget not tax increases.
Now, he has done this:
Banks cave in on home loan rates: Millions WILL benefit as mortgage giants are forced to pass on historic interest rate cut | Mail Online
Gordon Brown seems un-stoppable.

Not at all Carolly, the point of a thread is to raise debate not to have every member agree with me. I never take offence or anything to heart and we are all entitled to our opinion. You go for it lady!!:)
I know how you feel. I was a Labour party member for years subscribing by direct debit. I cancelled my memebership about a year ago now because i too, were dis-enchanted by the government. I had several issue's with them although i can not complain about the wonderfull treatment my hubby had and still does from the health service.
I got to a point where i hated Blair. With him, i added Brown as he was the Chancellor. Over the past year, home politics have been dominated by the economic crisis and i do believe that Brown has had his hands full with that alone. I am now begining to think that he has only been in power a year and what he has done is good. He has gained Internation respect around the world and i think that after the shock defeat of the Scottish national Party in Glenrothes by Gordon Brown, it shows that the country does have faith in him.
I am not re-newing my membership yet nor signing to any other party. Brown does have a long way to go on home policie's i.e. Health, education, Police, but there is no doubt that these recent moves are going to help struggling familie's and the lower paid. :-6:-6
