Snake Bite

Here in the UK we only have one poisionous snake, the Adder, and even then it would only be fatal to a small child or the very elderly , even these categories would not be at risk if the recieved prompt medical treatment.

They are also very rarely seen, well my bloody dog (Rocky, Black lab) not only finds the only adder in the UK he gets bitten by it!!!

Ã‚£196 quid later he is no longer "Invenomated" I will now beat him every day with a spikey stick to remind him of his mistake.

Actually it was quite scary , he was paralysed from the middle of his back to his tail, could not get his back legs off the ground at all, 24 hours later and with treatment he is running around like a pup.

Thats great news!!! Glad your dog is 'healed'! (pardon the pun!)

I lost a dog to a scorpion sting. Stepped on one myself, and got very sick. There are ALOT of poisonous nasties in the US.

I'm so glad to be in a place where there arent bugs that will fly off with you, and eat you at their leisure! :yh_hypno

Glad your dog is okay! Got to warn you. After getting bit by a spider, I heard every horror story imaginable. You will probably get stories that while your dog seems okay, in a month or two, he will grow a second head LOL. Give him an extra treat and a pat on the head for me. :-6

Wow, sorry to hear this Bothwell, but pleased to hear that doggo's recovered.

It's news to me that we have poisonous snakes in GB!

It's news to me that we have poisonous snakes in GB! :oAbbey, you have the adder, but Bothwell tells me it is very rare... Rocky is fine, out trying to catch a fox in the hedgerow.
