A Lesson for President Obama

Post by QUINNSCOMMENTARY »

President elect Obama is enthralled with Abraham Lincoln, he reads his writings constantly and even last night on 20/20 he said again how much he studies his thinking. Well Mr. Obama, here is a Lincoln quote that I indeed hope you will take to heart.:yh_pray

"I don't believe in a law to prevent a man from getting rich; it would do more harm than good. So while we do not propose any war upon capital, we do wish to allow the humblest man an equal chance to get rich with everybody else." Abraham Lincoln

I buy that, everyone should have an equal chance, just like the new President did and by the way he got pretty rich in the process too. Good for him.
"The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who have not got it." George Bernard Shaw

"If everybody is thinking alike, then somebody is not thinking" Gen. George Patton

Good quote. I'll remember that one.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them. R.L. Binyon
