Wallabies on the increase in Britain
The world is going mad.
We've got scorpians living in Kent
Paraqueets and American Harris Hawks breeding in the South Gloucestershire countryside
Sightings of Cougars and Puma's allegedly roaming the countryside
Now, the wallaby's are taking over.
BBC NEWS | England | Berkshire | 'Wild' wallaby sightings rising
Still, look on the bright side, It will give the queen something different to shoot.

American harris hawks are breeding in the wild in Britain.
I actually came face to face with one of these when out for a stroll with my dogs in the South Glous countryside.
They are definately not funny
NationMaster - Encyclopedia: Harris's Hawk
With the help of an expert, the one i encountered was deemed to be Arizonian.

Your right. Seriously, i dread to think of what is really out there.
We get many big cat sightings and i just can't help thinking that not everyone is a loony, there must be an odd one.
The winters have become so mild here that we also get some nasty European bugs that we shouldn't have as well.
I don't mind the paraqueets, i've seen many of them out walking the dog but when you suddenly come across a bird that's got feet bigger than your hands, then that's scarey. I will never forget it, he sat there making clicking noises at me.
I got a pic of him and had him identified as Arizonian. I got really interested in them after that and found out a bit about them which served me well one evening.
In a house down the road from me, there is a guy who'e back yard is a rescue home for injured birds of prey. he does miracles with them. We get Buzzards here.
I went down the shop and coming home in the dark i could see a car park up outside this rescue house. As i got nearer, a guy got out with a massive bird of prey on his arm, (tethered). I thought, 'Hello, i recognise that shape).
As i drew level with him (bearing in mind, it was very dark),
I said knowingly 'Harris hawk'??
'Yes it is he said quite surprised.
'Arizonian'?
Yes it is, more surprised.
'Female'?
Yes, she is
'That's because the female is so much bigger than the male'
That's right, they are, he said
'Just been through the moult has she'?
Yes she has, by now amazed at my knowledge
'She must be ready for breeding as they only breed directly after the moult'?
That's why i'm here tonight, to breed her,
'She sounds happy, she's clicking?
By now, this guy is blown away at my knowledge and say's 'You keep Harris hawks'??
No i said... I don't know a thing about them. :yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl
There i left him in the street bewildered at the strange woman with 'the knowledge.

Did the same thing to my moonflowers & morning glories..grrr!!! We get squirrels, opossums & racoons. OMG, one night about 2 months ago I had my window open and I hear this racket on porch and I'm thinking, WTF is that noise? Didn't get out the door because I saw the trademark tail of raccoon. The thing was huge!:wah: The size of a dog! Jeez, scared the cr*p outta me.:wah:

I have fed foxes for years. We have a family comes into the garden every night. I've never tried to get too close as i don't want them losing their instinct's but the alpha male is an absolute beauty. We call him 'Clarkson' which only British folk will get the joke. Clarkson is huge, one of the biggest i have ever seen but then you should see what we feed them!!! He has reached a point now where he just sits waiting for me around 01 am outside the door.
I came back in from feeding the family one night last week and said to Mr Oscar 'I've have seen it all now'.
There were 5 foxes including Clarkson sat waiting for me. I put the food down on the ground and they were all only inches from my legs. Suddenly, next doors tabby cat swooped in bewtween them, grabbed a chicken nugget in his mouth and ran off. Now, that's real nerve :yh_rotfl

Foxes??? Yes please!!!!! I know they are looked upon as vermin but the urban one's are a little different. The criminal waste of food that Britain throws away every day means they don't have to ransack the local farms. I just love them. :-4
