New year, always new antics.
Nice basic vocabulary to start out the new unit, which the students told me was "plagarism" to write down. I passed out the dictionaries instead and told them to write out the correct responses in their own words. Ah, the groans of agony........:wah:

I spoke with my older son on New Years day on the phone. He teaches high school and after a two week vacation, he had to go back to work today as well. I'm sure he had to deal with same antics. :wah:

I hear ya Chonsi....My wee ones tried all day to get me "off track" asking me all sorts of questions that were not related to "the subject at hand." Oy vey..couldn't settle them down, so I went with the flow:wah:
For every question they asked, I made them write down the answer that they thought I would answer. That was fun for a bit, but their hands hurt from writing answers......so, they became serious and we got on with the day.....
Never a dull moment:-4
