forsaken wrote: I decided on the name forsaken 7 years ago when I moved to Edinburgh. It was how I felt in my new home and to make contact with people I started chatting on MIRC. The name has basically stuck and now I would never change it. I am and always will be forsaken, though now I’m not as lonely but still find it difficult at times to fit in.

That my new friends is a much shortened version of why I became forsaken.

Thanks for making me feel so welcome.

Well, that answers my question. Welcome to the garden. There is plenty to do, so, enjoy your posting and have fun.

They say that Durban has 300 days of :-6 a year..... sigh..

Well I'm glad you're not Afrikaans, that way I won't make an idiot of myself, trying to remember what I'd learned in school! haha!

How old are you, btw?

You should try California, New Mexico, Texas, Florida or other places that are warmer and virtually one seasoners. It's all good. Lived in warmer climes and discovered that I missed the feel of the cold on the skin... go figure?

This is going to be my second attempt at joining a set of forums and I am hoping that this may be my final attempt.

I have been living in Edinburgh Scotland for 7 years now, having emmigrated from South Africa. I love living in the UK for the most part but still find it difficult to fit in at times. Married a lovely man nearly 5 years ago having met him when I was 16 while on holiday in Edinburgh.

I look forward many years of posting on this wonderful forum and meeting new people :oBe not forsaken oh my darling, that line's from High Noon. What a big change for you. From South Africa to bonnie Scotland. WOW

How are you doing age wise ?
You are only as old as you feel. Plenty of 50 year old teenagers floating around. Likewise, plenty of teenage 50 year olds. Think young. Live young.

Florida wonderful place, sun, sea and then again those horrible rollercoaster my husband subjected me too. My entire holiday was spent screaming I hate you for making me do this, I'm going to kill you and I want a divorce. Still I did enjoy it :)
I take it that he is on the track because he is making you be a kid. Good for him. Sure that he loves you.
