About a week or so past, I saw this:-
Landlord slaps bad language ban on pub customers
A pub landlord has decided to clear the blue air in his hostelry.
Alan Milne has banned swearing in the public bar at the Royal Hotel in Keith.
The 55-year-old licensee slapped his new code of conduct on a board at the entrance to the public bar.

Then in todays' Metro, we find this:
I banned swearing and pool, why don't they like my pub?
Drinkers have deserted a bar where the landlord has outlawed swearing.
Ian Milne was so fed up with bad language in his pub he decided to ban it.But the move has backfired with the first weekend of the ban seeing trade dwindle.
Mr Milne, who runs the Royal Hotel in Keith, Banffshire, admitted “Obviously, it's disappointing. I thought I would lose some customers but gain some others. But it hasn't worked out like that. A lot less people came into the bar than normal.
the 55 year-old ex-diver in the oil industry took over the hotel in November last year.
But he said he was appalled by the bad language and took the bold step of banning it.
A sign was put up outside the front door which warned: “if you have to swear, do not come in.
However, many customers reacted angrily and locals claimed business would suffer. One drinker said regulars had begun deserting the bar after Mr Milne got rid of the pool table soon after he took over.
The landlord had hoped families would flock to the pub for meals now there was no threat of bad language.
Mr Milne was also forced to call in the police over the weekend after one group refused to stop swearing.
He said “By the timethey got here, the group had left. The officers then gave me a 20-minute lecture on how they are shorthanded and it's not a crime to swear in public. They made it clear I was a hindrance to them and they wouldn't be going after the group.
Despite all this, Mr Milne is hopeful for the future. He said “I'm not going to stop. I'll keep going with this.
