when do you make your bed?

Post by fuzzywuzzy »

as soon as you get out of it? or do you allow a few hours of airing the sheets and come back later? or are you a doona person? Are you a crisp sheet or soft sheeter? blanket or douvet? How many pillows does one really need? How many pillows and cushions on your bed?

Never.... Mr O does it.

It's an American queen sized bed. 7ft by 7ft.

6 pillows

At the moment it has a white duvet cover and a bergundy silk eiderdown with lace and gold ribbon. 2 pillows to match and four cushions.

Every morning before I go to work, sheets are washed on Saturday mornings.

I make my husband's up too, wash the dishes in the sink, put in a load of clothes, feed the critters, then go to school.

I never make my bed. Only when the sheets are changed do I officially make it. I know it looks nice to make the bed, but geesh, I'm gonna get back into at the end of the day!

And I'm weird. I arrange my blankets just so when I sleep because I'm kind of a nester, and having it "made up" is fairly uncomfortable for me.

And.... in case I need another excuse, I make beds at work (nursing home.)

I have 4 blankets, 2 pillows. That's it. Well, sheets of course. I never understood having all that fancy-shmancy stuff on a bed.

It depends... sometimes I make it right after I get up, other times I might wait until after I workout, shower... it's always made before I leave the house and there's not a single wrinkle anywhere on it, though.

I consider myself to be Spartan in many senses of the term, but not when it comes to my bed: King-size American, thick, luxurious mattress/box springs, high thread-count sheets (cotton during the cooler months), nice plush comforter, down feather bed, lots of pillows (European, American, neck, body, throw...), duvet cover... the works! It's usually easier to explain when I'm not single, but when I am single, I just blame it on the ex-girlfriend. :o

I make it every morning, I hate an unmade messy bed!

- duvet and drapes to match......pillows, shams and night table covers to match.

light greys and silvers.....embroidered duvet and

light grey walls.

Every morning I also can't stand an unmade bed. I have a California King bed so it is HUGE and unmade just doesn't look nice. :D

I make the bed after I have showered and I am a crisp cold sheet person that needs three pillows. Two for my head and one for my left leg.

I never make my bed, only when the sheets are changed.

I fold back the doona & sheet to the foot of the bed all neat & tidy.

The pillows 2 each are placed neatly at the top of the bed.

Two pillows have satin pillow cases & two have linen.

The satin one is used for sleeping on the linen one goes under my left arm to prop irt up through the night.

When the sheets are done Wednesday & Saturday, they have to be dried in the sun,or outdoors as do my towels.

All fresh & crisp:-6:-6
It's nice to be important, but more important to be nice.

I like to let the bed air out a bit before covering it. :D I only have a comforter on there so it's easy to make the bed. :D

High thread count sheets....a total must. Don't do satin though. Have you ever gotten your sheets through overstock.com....low priced sheet sets for half the cost and high count threads.

I only put on satin sheets when I've got a whore or stripper comin' over... it makes them feel more at home. :yh_rotfl

OI!!! there's been too much around here of how different we all are and I'm trying to bring us together again by displaying how very much similar we are.

Deep down we all have the same human traits. As annoying as they are. We are all the same. (even down to how we use the toilet.)

I always buy bedding that looks good messy or made up . It usually depends on my mood in the morning as to whether I make the bed straight away or not.

I have eight pillows plus cushions neck rolls etc,. cotton sheets, a doona and an overlay comforter, And a great big dog teddy in the centre of the bed.

I like starch!!! :)
