aaaagggghhhhhhhhhh WTH? I think

Post by fuzzywuzzy »

I've just come back from a meeting.

Elections and one of the topics disscussed was about recruiting.

Sometimes you shouldn't open your mouth I swear.

I suggested that if they want new recruits maybe they should set the truck in a recruiting drive at home games where there are lots of fit young men.? Hey it worked for the army all those wars ago!!!

But they want "committment" from these new recruits (these fit young members from our region) Then it's said that training days are on Weekends. HUH?:-2 How are you going to get committment from those who play sport? On weekends. And party on Weekends? It's not gunna happen.

I realise we can't have every monday night as a training night because trainers can't afford to be there timewise, it's not an urban brigade ..........then I think why not? Do people in the country have busier lives than people in the city ? . But I was stating maybe once a month. Once a damn month !!!!so everybody knows the routine and gets the same training at the same time and turns up if they want to be trained, you know, some kind of consistency. .............................But then I thought. Why ask for committment from new comers if you're going to sit there and make excuses for trainers? why aren't you asking for committment from trainers and old timers?

You know the last time I touched a truck was during the fires? these new recruits will have less access. Before the fires it had been 2 months since I last operated a pump. That's wrong!!!! Instead of it being automatic I had to think while the **** hit the fan . I shouldn't have to do that !!! What are these young blokes gunna do when the **** hits the fan and they have little training ? And accused of not having enough committment? ****.

but it's okay folks i got my punishment!!!! for showing my captain up in front of the operations manager. I got a phone call when I got home.

I'm accused of speaking on behalf of the brigade. I'm like WTF?

Apparently, and this is where is gets a bit confusing. A couple of days ago, three to be exact or in the past week because in the second phone call to my captain he got it "third hand" (his words and I quote) I was supposed to of accused a bloke of tampering with my truck ...................I'm like gobsmacked!!!! I havent spoken to anyone at the petrol station in the last couple of days about anything to do with the brigade!!!! Or the truck....I'm trying to take my mind back and I'm going over and over . In the "extreme conditions" thread I mention about a bloke who came up to our truck. But I found out who he was and I've not spoken about it since and the people I got the info as to his identity havent' spoken to him....................................To cut a long story short.

I ring my captain back to say I don't like this accusation and the incident was wittnessed by another brigade member, ask him about it. I give the name and address of this person that went through the back cabin of our truck .....all's good .

I get off the phone.

I then remember a conversation I had with a person who was having a conversation with the petrol station guy . (I live in a small town everybody talks to eveybody) They mentioned the fires and something about the truck..............I remember jokingly saying to the customer ( a local) "It wasn't you who touched my truck was it? you know you can be arrested for that " I had a smile on my face, I was joking with him . The conversation with the petrol station guy was about the fires and peoples behaviour during or something along those lines I can't remember because is wasn't a big deal. but I do remember him being a bit touchy and I immediately apologised.....I actually used the words ..." I apologise I was just having a go" ...It was topical and jovial...............It mean't nothing. That's why I didn't remember it .............BTW this happened I believe four weeks ago!!!!!!! or over a month ago I think. Talk about stretch the memory!!!!! I'm supposed to remember a conversation that took probably not even 30 secs amongst everything that happened? A joke? CHRIST!!!!!

So my humour isn't appreciated.............okay . But why bring it up so many weeks later, surely a month later? Why? Oh and the complaint was taken by one of my colleagues who passed on this complaint, or phone number or something...............still don't know what the position of this individual is

Okay I'm actually confused!!!!!!

but now I'm accused of talking on behalf of the brigade? I'm not happy about that , I've never done that and would never do that!!!!!!!

So now I'm to ring my captain or write a letter, havent decided which yet. and explain that I do remember the conversation that happened so long ago and that's why I didn't remember it . I was joking . I knew the identity of the man who touched our truck so why would I accuse this other man of doing so? Such an insignificant joke that has now been blown out of all proportion .

You know i"m really beginning to hate men!!!! Or maybe it's just the locals who are so unhappy with their own lives that they have to make waves for others!!!! what a crock of ****!!!!!!!

Hey Nomad where are you when I need investigative skills?

Well well well Just got off the phone . Now I know who this bloke is.

A nutter who came onto me in the pub. I ignored it and he got shitty with me. I told him to settle down and to appease him offered to buy him a beer. He told me he'd knock my head off if I did that.:-2 that's when 'Mang' told me "this guys not right" and told me we should move ourselves from the outside of the pub to inside. Mang bought him a beer when this guy went to the toilet and when he saw us again (because we'd left him alone ) he slammed the beer down where we were sitting and stormed off . That's where all this stems from. The man is a nutter!!!! Good I have a wittness to both incidents.

And get this!! now this bloke is after the person who's car I got out of at the time. ( When I made the joke at the petrol station ) Problem!! the person he's after said he'd fix the situation UH OH!!!! I told him I'd take care of it properly by the book. If this bloke has a vendetta against me because I knocked back his suggestive remarks and can't take a joke, then I think it should be documented properly. At least now I remember who the person is.

Ahh it's all coming back to me now . I'm so stressed my head is about to explode.

I've just worked out what day this happened . Good god I'm sick of this . This happened the evening of the day I was waiting around for a death message. I spent around eight hours waiting for my husbands threat of suicide to become a reality but you'd have to read my blog for that. Hey, him writing off my car was no accident I took it seriously. No wonder I didn't remember the other incident.
