This makes me feel old I get the grumpy old woman syndrome...what the hell was this girl doing? I mean why not strap a mattrass to her back?

What the hell are the parents of these kids doing that the kids think running round shagging each other stupid at 12 and 13 is ok?:-5

There is no sanction. a) The law is not applied. b) Full State support is available. c) Many of the parents of these people have few or no morals or backbone.

I was born to an unmarried woman many years ago and I had to be fostered out for 5 years as her sister wouldnt even allow me in the house at the time.Im not going into the pain I had growing up but trust me there was plenty and my Mother worked hard for her money to raise me.The point I am trying to make is how things have changed.Ok Im not saying people were right back then with their attitude towards me and my Mother but what I read about now and see on the tele about Children themselves having babies I just shake my head Im afraid in disgust.....yes disgust.Sorry if I may offend anyone saying that but its true.Having sex is not a kids game and bringing an innocent baby into the world while they are so young themselves is just not right.Of course the family step in and take over.....but does that make it right. Who is left to pay for this baby....again us the Tax Payer and I for one would rather that money went to people who had financial problems through no fault of their own.Grumpy old woman I may come across but in this country school children having babies IMO seems to be increasing and is now infact getting accepted as if it is just one of those things and its ok as the baby will be looked after by the rest of the family.What is the answer......I have no idea.

Funny further to what I wrote earlier I have heard something that I found interesting............a married woman of 18 has just had a baby and at that age was the oldest on her ward.She said most were under the age of 15 and some didnt even bother with their babies while all she wanted to do was cuddle hers.Of course this dosent apply to all child mothers and thats not what the issue is here......its just so sad that children having babies is becoming a way of life now.

Britain has the highest teenage pregnancy rate in Europe.

I've just read an article that says the real father of the baby is just 14 yrs old.

It's no secret on this forum that my nephew became a father at 15 yrs old six weeks ago but i am happy to say that not all teenage mums are benifit scrounging slappers. Baby's mum is an absolute credit and has for-fitted her rights to any benifit and council housing by moveing in with my sister. Tomorrow she is coming to me for a while. That's what families need to do, rally round and chip in. Not expect the government to fund their lifestyle for the rest of their days. :-5
